CIVIL SOCIETY SDGs AWARDS is an initiative of Community Agenda for Peace (CAP) dedicated to recognizing African Civil Society groups who through dint of hard work and dedication to their vision offer sustainable and scalable solutions to social and developmental challenges confronting Nigeria particularly and Africa in general.
ABOUT CIVIL SOCIETY AWARDS
The Civil Society Awards is presented annually to outstanding development institutions, corporate organisations, NGOs, CSOs and CBOs with sustainable projects addressing different dimensions of Africa’s social and developmental challenges. According to the MDG Report 2015, “Africa made great strides towards the eight Millennium Development Goals.” However and despite these strides, the 2030 agenda recognizes that “progress made in the last 15 years has been uneven, particularly in Africa where some MDGs remained out of track”.
